Senior / Principal Transport Engineer Location: Leicester
Salary: £40k - £60k DoE plus package

This role offers a blend of technical delivery, project leadership and team development. You will take ownership of transport planning and highways inputs across a range of projects, while also having the opportunity to build and lead your own team. It is a strong next step for someone looking to move into a more senior position with real influence over project delivery and team growth.
What You’ll Be Doing - Managing and delivering Transport Statements and Transport Assessments across a variety of projects
- Overseeing multiple schemes while maintaining strong client relationships
- Preparing high-quality technical reports and project documentation
- Undertaking complex junction analysis and providing practical design recommendations
- Liaising with highways engineers, planners, architects and clients
- Attending meetings and representing the business professionally
- Supporting the growth and development of the transport team
- Contributing to project delivery across wider civil engineering schemes
What They’re Looking For - BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years’ post-graduate experience in transport engineering or planning
- Chartered or working towards chartership with ICE, CIHT or TPP
- Strong knowledge of national and local transport policy and standards
- Experience producing Transport Statements and Assessments
- Proficiency in relevant transport modelling and industry software
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to lead projects and contribute to team development
- A proactive and collaborative approach
- Full UK driving licence
