Description:Position: Senior Residential Support Worker Children
Location: Leicester
Type: Permanent, full-time
Salary: £36,000 per annum + £6,000 for sleep ins
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team in Leicester. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and possess the necessary skills and qualifications to provide high-quality care and support to young individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and support a team of residential support workersDevelop and implement care plans for children in line with their individual needsEnsure the safety and well-being of all children in the residential homeProvide emotional and practical support to children in their daily activitiesLiaise with external agencies and professionals to ensure the best outcomes for the childrenAdminister medication and maintain accurate recordsParticipate in staff meetings and training sessionsEnsure all policies and procedures are followed to maintain a safe and positive environment for the childrenPromote and maintain the independence and dignity of the children in your careRequirements:
Minimum of 2 years experience working with children in a residential settingNVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalentExperience in supervising and mentoring staffExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work under pressure and handle challenging situationsKnowledge of safeguarding policies and proceduresFlexible and able to work shifts, including weekends and sleep insWe offer a competitive salary and a supportive working environment with opportunities for career development.
