Senior Residential Support Worker

Job Description:

We are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our clients for an experienced Senior Residential support worker to join a Children’s Residential Home in Coventry. This is a permanent, full-time position ideal for a candidate with a strong background in residential childcare.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on guidance, coaching, and informal supervision to support workers during shifts

• Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and structured environment that promotes the emotional and physical wellbeing of children and young people

• Support the implementation and review of care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies

• Act as a positive role model, demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and consistency in all interactions

• Ensure all practice adheres to Ofsted standards, safeguarding procedures, and internal policies

• Report incidents appropriately and contribute to ensuring a safe and supportive home environment

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence 

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a children’s residential care setting 

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) 

• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and trauma-informed care

• Confident communicator with excellent leadership and teamwork skills

• Resilient, reliable, and committed to creating positive outcomes for young people
