Senior Roof Truss Designer - Remote MiTek

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Roof Truss Designer to join a well-established timber engineering business.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced designer with strong MiTek experience who is looking for a remote position working on residential housing developments across the UK.

The Role

As a Roof Truss Designer, you will be responsible for designing roof truss systems from architectural drawings and client specifications using MiTek software.

You will work closely with house builders, construction teams and internal departments to deliver efficient and compliant structural timber designs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing roof truss systems using MiTek 

• Interpreting architectural and structural drawings

• Producing technical drawings and manufacturing data

• Liaising with clients and internal teams regarding design specifications

• Supporting production teams with technical queries

• Ensuring designs comply with industry regulations and NHBC standards

Experience Required

• Minimum 8 years’ experience designing roof trusses

• Strong experience using MiTek software

• Experience within timber engineering or roof truss design

• Ability to interpret architectural drawings

• Strong communication and organisational skills
