Job Description
To provide high-quality, child-centred care, lead shifts, and support the team in maintaining a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment.
Play a pivotal role in the day-to-day care and support of children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
To support and mentor support staff, including contributing to their induction and ongoing development.
Ensure the safeguarding and protection of all children in the home.
Maintain accurate and detailed records, including daily logs, incidents, and care plans.
Adhere to Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
Work collaboratively with external professionals, including social workers, education providers, and health services.
Help manage the running of the home, including budgeting, shopping, and organising activities.
Participate in on-call duties were required.
Essential Criteria
Must have Level 3 in Residential Childcare
Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a children’s residential home
Experience writing reports, care plans, and liaising with external agencies
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, and sleep-ins
Understanding of trauma-informed practice and therapeutic approaches
Full UK driving license
Permanent right to work in the UK
