We’re on the lookout for a Sales / Senior Special Workholding Design Engineer to join a well-established precision engineering business in Nottingham.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with a strong mechanical design background and experience in workholding who enjoys both the technical and client-facing sides of engineering.

What You’ll Be Doing
•    Meet with clients to understand mechanical applications and requirements
•    Plan and execute mechanical designs using 3D CAD (NX and/or SolidWorks)
•    Run simulations and virtual tests to refine your designs
•    Document design processes, iterations, and analytics
•    Liaise with clients, designers, engineers, and manufacturers to ensure smooth project delivery
•    Prepare technical reports, design specifications, and operational manuals
•    Keep up to date with new technologies and design trends

What You’ll Bring
•    Mechanical engineering degree desirable (or equivalent practical experience)
•    Proven sales experience, ideally within an engineering or workholding environment
•    3+ years’ engineering experience, ideally in special fixturing or precision tooling
•    Proficiency in Siemens NX or SolidWorks
•    Strong design principles, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
•    Excellent time management and organisational ability
