Duties of a Service Advisor:
- Serve as the primary point of contact between customers and the workshop team, ensuring an exceptional service experience
- Welcome customers and manage their journey, maintaining high standards of customer care throughout
- Keep customers updated on vehicle repairs and progress; recommend additional work where appropriate
- Prepare estimates, explain repair costs, and process payments efficiently
- Promote and upsell vehicle service plans to increase customer retention
- Handle customer queries professionally, resolving concerns promptly
- Conduct follow-up calls to ensure customer satisfaction and gather feedback
- Use dealership systems to accurately record and maintain customer and vehicle data
- Support the sales of warranties and service plans, contributing to workshop profitability
Requirements of a Service Advisor:
- Proven background as a Service Advisor, Senior Service Advisor, or similar customer-facing role within the automotive trade
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong sales and upselling capabilities
- Good organisational and administrative abilities
- Confident user of digital dealership systems and software
- Professional, customer-focused attitude
- Full UK Driving Licence
