Service & Commissioning Engineer
Rate: £375-£400 Per day
Location: Leicestershire
Hours: 0800 – 1700 (Flexible)
Contract Length: 3 Months Initially with a view to being extended
Please note – All commissioning contracts may involve 1–2 weeks of travel abroad

The contractor
In this role, flexibility is essential. Approximately 80% of your time will be spent in the office, focusing on commissioning and development activities (FAT). The remaining time may involve travel to customer sites for a few days at a time (SAT). On-site work could include tasks such as upgrades, sensor repairs, code adjustments, or warranty support.
You should be confident in all aspects of PLC programming, with strong knowledge of sensors, pneumatics, robotics, and the principles of vision systems. The machinery you’ll work with can range from small bending equipment to fully integrated production lines.

The ideal candidate would be a multi-skilled engineer with a good mixture of hands-on skills, understanding of mechanical systems and be able to demonstrate a good level of competency with machine control systems.
