Service Engineer - Packaging Machinery / Field Maintenance - Homebased

BASIC SALARY: £40,000 - £45,000

LOCATION: Homebased covering the UK. Ideally located within 1 hour of Nottingham along the M1 corridor.
 
THE ROLE - Service Engineer / Maintenance Engineer (Packaging Machinery)
 
A classic field-based role involving:
· Installation, commissioning, service, and repair of high-quality packaging machinery across customer sites in the UK.
· Managing your own schedule, typically 2-3 days a week on-site, with the remainder working from home or the office.
· Minimal travel - averaging just one overnight stay per week and very occasional weekend work (once or twice a year).
· Joining a close-knit UK team with full technical support and access to European OEM training.
 
THE PERSON - Service Engineer / Maintenance Engineer
 
You'll need to demonstrate:
· A solid track record as a Field Service Engineer or Factory Maintenance Engineer, ideally in capital equipment or packaging machinery.
· A recognised electrical and/or electronic engineering qualification, ideally backed by a full apprenticeship.
· Hands-on fault-finding skills with a proactive, customer-focused attitude.
· The ability to work independently, manage your time, and represent a premium European brand professionally.
 
Experience with packaging, printing, or process machinery will be a distinct advantage.
