Job Description:

Field Service Engineer - Electrical & Mechanical Location: Derby / Nottingham/ Mansfield

About Us: We're seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer with both electrical and mechanical expertise to join our established engineering team. Market Leader in bespoke anti Terror Security Equipment. This varied role involves covering clients across the Midlands, including some travel and overnight stays. You will be servicing, repairing, installing and commissioning a varied range of electro-mechanical equipment at a number of varied sites from MOD, Government, Airports, Utilities, Infrastructure, Data Centres, public spaces, arenas, private housing communities, and many more. There are opportunities to travel abroad (on a purely voluntary basis and is not a pre requisite for this role).

Basic Salary: £36,000  + Unlimited Overtime at Enhanced Rates (Typical earnings with overtime: £45,000- 50,000)

Travel Requirements:

• Regular travel
• 1-2 nights away per month (average)
• Overnight expenses covered

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance background
• Experience with 3-phase systems and control panels
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
• Industrial machinery fault-finding experience
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• AC/DC motor and drive experience
• PLC and control system familiarity
• Industrial sensor technology knowledge

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
• Perform preventative maintenance
• Install and commission new equipment
• Respond to emergency breakdowns
• Complete detailed service reports

Essential Requirements:

• Relevant electrical/mechanical qualifications
• Industrial maintenance experience
• Valid UK driving licence
• Willing to travel and stay away from home
• 18th Edition desirable
• Able to pass Enhanced UK Security Clearance

Package Includes:

Basic salary £36,000 

Overtime paid at x1.5 (weekdays) and x2 (weekends)
