Job Description:

A rare opportunity to get into a Field Service Engineer role with full training provided for a major European manufacturer of packaging machinery supplied to the food industry.
 
If you have completed a full apprenticeship and are qualified in Electrical & Electronic engineering this is a genuine chance to become a fully fledged Field Service Engineer.
 
BASIC SALARY: circa £30,000 to start
 
BENEFITS:
· Overtime to earn £6,000 to £8,000 in first year (Overtime is paid door to door)
· Company Car
 
LOCATION: Home based and ideally living in the Midlands, you will cover the whole UK.
 
COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Birmingham, Nottingham, Stoke, Leicester, Coventry, Derby, Tamworth
 
JOB DESCRIPTION: Service Engineer, Service Technician, Electrical & Electronic Engineer - Packaging Machinery, Capital Equipment
 
A Field Service Engineer role responsible for repair, refurbishment, installation and commissioning of packaging machinery used in the food industry on client sites throughout the UK.
 
You will expected to stay away from home 2 nights per week on average and there will be regular weekend working required.
 
You will be given full product training and will shadow an experienced Engineer for the first 6 months.
 
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Service Engineer, Service Technician, Electrical & Electronic Engineer - Packaging Machinery, Capital Equipment
 
· You MUST be a qualified Electrical & Electronic Engineer who has completed a full apprenticeship.
· The company will consider a qualified Mechanical Engineer who has hands on Electrical &/or Electronic engineering experience.
· You will be looking for a career move into field service engineering.
· Any previous workshop or maintenance engineering experience &/or experience working in the food industry would be advantageous but is not essential.
 
THE COMPANY:
 
A very well established UK sales & service office of a major European manufacturer of packaging machinery supplied to the food industry. They are now looking to strengthen their established service team by training the next generation.
 
PROSPECTS:
 
You can expect your base salary to rise rapidly over the next few years to be earning circa £45,000 basi with overtime to earn £55,000 in total as you progress in experience.
