• Monday to Thursday: 07:30 – 16:15

• Friday: 07:30 – 12:30

Job Overview

We are recruiting an experienced Sewing Machinist / Industrial Sewing Operative to join a busy manufacturing and production facility in Exhall, Coventry. This is a temp-to-perm role offering long-term opportunities for the right candidate.

The role is suited to candidates with previous industrial sewing, textile production, or factory sewing experience, who can work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating industrial sewing machines in a factory/production environment

• Sewing a variety of textiles and materials to specification

• Carrying out:

  • Twin needle sewing

  • Top stitching / top sewing

  • Flat sewing

  • Overlock / overlocking

• Ensuring quality control and consistent workmanship

• Completing basic sewing machine maintenance and checks

• Working to production targets, KPIs, and deadlines

• Following health & safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures

• Keeping a clean, organised workstation

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience as a Sewing Machinist, Industrial Sewing Operative, Textile Operative, or Production Sewing Machinist

• Experience using industrial sewing machines

• Knowledge of twin needle, flat bed, overlock, and top stitch machines

• Strong attention to detail and quality standards

• Ability to work in a fast-paced production / manufacturing environment

• Reliable, punctual, and flexible

• Willingness to learn and undertake training
