Location: Exhall, Coventry

Pay rate/Salary: Competitive

Hours of Work:Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 16:15, Friday: 07:30 - 12:30

Type: Temp - Permanent

Start Date: Immediately (flexible for notice periods)

We are seeking an experienced Sewing Machinist to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. We are looking for a hard-working, reliable individual who can offer flexibility and commitment.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, demonstrate a professional approach to their work, and have a genuine "can-do" attitude towards their responsibilities.

Duties of a Sewing Machinist

While experience is essential, training will be provided for the right candidate.

• Operating industrial sewing machines in a fast-paced production setting
• Sewing a range of materials to required specifications
• Carrying out twin needle sewing, top sewing, flat sewing, and overlocking
• Ensuring consistently high-quality workmanship
• Completing regular sewing machine checks and basic maintenance
• Working to production targets and deadlines
• Following health & safety and quality procedures
• Maintaining a clean and organised workstation

Skills and experience of a Sewing Machinist

As a Sewing Machinist, you will need to have experience with:

• Previous experience as a Sewing Machinist or similar role
• Experience with:
• Twin needle machines
• Top sewing
• Flat sewing
• Overlock machines
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to learn and undertake training where required
• Good timekeeping and reliability
