Job Role: Shop Foreman/Fabrication Team Leader
Location: Commutable from Coventry, Leicester, Nuneaton and Bedworth
Shift: Monday to Thursday 07:15 - 16:030, Friday 07:15 - 12:15
Pay Rate: £20-£24 DOE

The Company:
Our client is an expanding metal fabrication business delivering high-quality solutions to clients across multiple industries. Specialising in precision engineering, working with mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium, producing everything from bespoke components to large-scale structural fabrications.
The Role:
This is a hands-on leadership role, perfect for someone with solid MIG/TIG welding skills and a background in fabrication who can also coordinate, supervise, and mentor a team. You will be responsible for ensuring projects run smoothly from start to finish maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency while keeping production on schedule.
The Candidate:
- Proven experience in a fabrication workshop environment.
- Strong MIG and TIG welding skills across a variety of metals.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to health and safety best practices.
The Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the fabrication team in daily operations.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and job specifications.
- Carry out high-quality MIG and TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.
- Organise workflow, assign tasks, and monitor progress.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specification.
- Train, mentor, and support team members to develop their skills.
- Support implementation of TPM, 5S/6S, and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
- Support implementation and adherence to EN 15085, IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards
Desirable:
- Familiarity with EN 15085, ISO 9001, and IATF 16949.
- Experience in Aerospace, Defence, or other regulated sectors.
- Exposure to CNC laser cutting and press brake operations.
