Job Description:

Site Engineer – HS2 (BBV Experience Essential)

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a major infrastructure project on HS2. This role offers the opportunity to work on one of the UK’s most significant rail developments, alongside a highly respected senior leadership team, including Paul Mulcair.

Important:
To be considered, candidates must have prior experience working on HS2 projects, specifically with BBV (Balfour Beatty VINCI joint venture). Applications without this experience will not be considered.

The Role

You will play a key role in delivering works on site, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance across all engineering activities. This position suits a proactive engineer who is confident operating in a fast-paced, large-scale infrastructure environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting out for drainage and associated civil engineering works
• Carrying out QA checks and maintaining accurate site records
• Ensuring works are delivered in line with specifications and tolerances
• Providing technical support and problem-solving to site management
• Coordinating with subcontractors and site teams to maintain progress

Requirements (Essential)

• Proven experience on HS2 projects (non-negotiable)
• Previous experience working with BBV (Balfour Beatty VINCI)
• Strong background in drainage and associated civils
• Competent in setting out and QA processes
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Valid CSCS card (relevant level)
