Site Manager – Earthworks Package

Freelance Contract | 

A leading principal contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the earthworks package on a major £30M industrial project based in Derby.

This role is due to start on 11th August and is offered on a freelance basis, with a competitive day rate available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the earthworks package, including enabling works, excavation, cut and fill, and ground remediation

• Coordinate and manage subcontractors to ensure quality, safety, and programme compliance

• Maintain accurate site records and ensure work is delivered to the highest standard

• Work closely with the Project Manager and wider site team to ensure seamless project delivery

Requirements:

• Proven experience managing earthworks packages on major construction schemes

• Strong knowledge of groundworks processes, health and safety regulations, and site documentation

• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certifications

• Excellent leadership and communication skills
