Job Title: Freelance Site Manager (Civils)
Location: Corby, Northamptonshire
Start Date: April 2026
Duration: 20 Weeks

About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee and deliver a key project based in Corby. This 20-week contract is ideal for a proactive and hands-on professional with a strong background in civil engineering, earthworks, and remediation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Monitor progress against programme and report to senior management
• Oversee quality control and ensure works meet required standards and specifications
• Maintain accurate site records, including RAMS, permits, and daily logs
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies as required

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager within civils, earthworks, and remediation projects
• Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and best practice
• SMSTS certification (essential)
• First Aid at Work (preferred)
• CSCS card (Black or equivalent)
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple site activities
