Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
Job Type: Full-time, Long-Term

We are currently recruiting for a knowledgeable and engaging Social Sciences Teacher to join a well-established secondary school in Leicestershire. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to teach within a supportive department and contribute to a growing subject area.
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality lessons across a range of social science subjects, such as Sociology, Psychology, and/or Criminology, inspiring students to think critically about the world around them.

• Plan and deliver engaging Social Sciences lessons across KS4 and KS5
• Teach subjects such as Sociology, Psychology, or related disciplines
• Encourage critical thinking, analysis, and discussion in the classroom
• Assess student work and provide clear, constructive feedback
• Monitor student progress and implement strategies to support achievement
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Degree in Sociology, Psychology, or a related subject
• Experience teaching Social Sciences at secondary level (KS4/KS5 preferred)
• Strong subject knowledge across one or more disciplines
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Passion for education and student development
