Social Worker Are you a passionate and experienced social worker with a focus on children? We are currently recruiting a
Social Worker to join our dedicated Children with Disabilities Service. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified professionals to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families in the Chesterfield, High Peak, Amber Valley, NE Derbyshire, and Bolsover areas.
About the Role: The
Social Worker will be responsible for delivering high-quality social care services within the Children with Disabilities Service. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to support vulnerable children and their families, ensuring compliance with legal and safeguarding protocols.
Candidate Responsibilities:- Provide expert social work support to children with disabilities and their families
- Assess needs and develop tailored care plans
- Undertake legal processes and court work when necessary
- Work effectively within the Children's Services statutory framework
- Maintain accurate and detailed case records
- Collaborate with partner agencies to ensure comprehensive support
- Attend court hearings and participate in legal proceedings as required
- Support the team in achieving positive outcomes for children and young people
Candidate Requirements:- Minimum of 3 years of social work experience with children
- Knowledge and experience of legal processes and court work related to children’s services
- Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant social work qualification and registration
- Valid UK driving license (preferred due to travel between areas)
