Solar PV Designer

Full time office based with travel to sites to survey new installations

My cleint has over 15 years of experience installing commerical and domestic Solar PV and low carbon heat pump systems and they are currently looking for an experienced Solar PV Designer.

Role and responsibilities:

• Surveying domestic and commercial properties for roof and ground mounted solar PV systems and battery storage
• Creating technical electrical designs for solar PV installations
• Building relationships and having meaningful discussions with customers to gain a clear understanding of their project requirements to ensure the right system is created for their project with a focus on efficiency and return on investment
• Working as part of our busy planning and operations team to ensure the customer receives a high-quality experience
• Supporting customers in their ongoing understanding of their renewable energy installations
• Specifying and ordering electrical materials and managing supplier relationships to ensure we are purchasing materials at cost effective rates
• Maintaining supplier relationships to ensure an understanding of product requirements, availability and lead times

Required experience:

• Experienced professional with exceptional communication and project management skills
• Proven ability to design electricial installations
• Experience of designing commerical and domestic Solar PV Systems
• Ideally with 18th edition and a recognized Solar PV installation qualification
• UK drivers license
