Key Responsibilities


Supporting the Current SQ team to:
•    Monitor quality during the development phase of the supplier's product/process and ensure compliance with Alstom requirements.
•    Deliver project quality activities for critical purchased parts from release of the first Supplier Part List till First Article Inspection (FAI).
•    Perform supplier quality risk assessments at Business award stage.
•    Ensure Quality Alstom requirements are respected before the 'Go Order' milestone.
•    Accountable for operational delivery of validation of industrial capability of supplier manufacturing process.
•    Responsible for Go/No-go decisions for 'Go Production', 'Go for First Train Validation' and 'FAI'.
•    Prepare and perform customer FAI when requested.
•    Follow-up supplier deliverables through Supplier Quality Portal (SQP).
•    Follow-up supplier action plans and Supplier Quality Status (SQS).
•    Trigger supplier escalation process when SPQD deliverables are at risk and animate problem solving.
•    Evaluate supplier maturity through FMEA, control plan, skills matrix, work instructions, etc.
•    Deliver audits/assessments of suppliers when needed.
•    Solve critical non-conformities and warranty issues when escalated.
•    Prepare first delivery requirements for incoming inspection.


Management & Reporting:
•    Perform regular reporting of activities (DFQ gates preparation, readiness reviews, FAI GO Right First Time, open items follow-up, supplier monitoring).
Continuous Improvement
•    Animate return of experience (REX) for scope, share operational experience and good practices through LLC (lesson learnt cards).
•    Participate in company's continuous improvement programs (APSYS).


Skills & Qualifications:
•    Experience within manufacturing industry or in a Quality or Project role.
•    Experience managing supplier relationships.
•    Experience using SAP or similar ERP system.
•    Knowledge of quality tools (PFMEA, control plan, QRQC, 8D, Quality Wall).
•    Familiar with supplier qualification standards (ISO, ASME, IRIS, Local Standards).
•    Ability to read supplier contracts and technical documentation.
•    Linked with Quality & Continuous Improvement competencies matrix.
•    Expertise in Supplier Quality processes at product & process development and execution phase.
•    Leadership and communication skills.
•    Ability to train.


Desirable:
•    Management experience in Supplier Quality.
•    Railway experience is a plus.
•    Quality inspection experience within manufacturing industry.
•    Experience with typical products and defect modes.
•    Experience in Quality/audit valued.
