Stores and Maintenance Co-ordinator

Job Description:

We are looking for a stores / stock controller for this recycling company in Colwick Nottinghamshire. Working as part of the maintenance team you will be responsible for ensuring all critical spares are onsite when needed, liaising with the production teams and the engineering manager to ensure that planned maintenance runs to schedule with all the correct parts needed.

Ideally you will have worked in a similar manufacturing or logistics environment, you will need good communication skills & an organised manner.

The role as a maintenance controller;

• Ensure minimum stock levels of Critical Spares and Engineering consumables are maintained on stock, labelled clearly, in designated storage areas inside the Stores building and external racking area.
• Generate competitive quotes to ensure lowest procurement costs, seeking alternate supplier options for goods and services that deliver the required cost, quality and service requirements.
• Follow up from Engineer Shift reports, to re-order used items in consultation with Engineering Manager and Maintenance Team Leader.
• Undertake admin of Computerised Maintenance Management System to close out Work Orders and update Asset information
• Schedule and drive maintenance PPM’s and do weekly reports

The skills and Qualifications you will need in this Stores Role.

• Good IT skills including spread sheets and CMMS systems
•  A proactive and energetic approach with an appetite to resolve issues
•  A strong commitment towards customer satisfaction & health and safety
• An ability to identify cost saving initiatives, opportunities to improve efficiency as well as quality improvement.

The benefits of this Stores Role;

• Monday – Friday 8am – 4.30pm
• £28,000 - £32,000 PA depending on experience
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
• Free onsite parking.
