Structural Engineer – ARV-6927

Job Description:

A fast-growing and highly respected structural engineering consultancy specialising in timber design is looking for a Structural Engineer to join its small, but highly skilled team. Along with a salary of up to £45,000 per annum, you will receive flexible working hours, fully remote working opportunities, a family-friendly culture and 24 days holiday, plus bank holidays and additional flexibility for personal needs. 

Established nearly 2 years ago, this dynamic firm has quickly earned a reputation for delivering high-quality engineering solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative timber engineering projects, whilst enjoying the flexibility of a fully remote role. 

As Structural Engineer, you will:

• Deliver structural design solutions for timber projects, ensuring compliance with UK standards and client specifications.
• Produce accurate technical drawings and calculations using AutoCAD and specialist timber software (i.e. MasterSeries, iCalc).
• Work collaboratively with the Managing Director and Senior Engineer to meet tight project deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to ensure designs are practical, buildable, and aligned with project requirements.

We’re looking for a Structural Engineer with:

• Previous experience working with timber structures in a similar role.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and a good understanding of timber design software (MasterSeries, iCalc desirable).
• Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and Eurocodes.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a small, remote-working team.
