Job Description:

NeuroSupport services are currently recruiting Support Workers and Healthcare Assistants  with a background of Brain Injury and Mental health experience to support services users with an acquired Brain Injury. Our service aims to support rehabilitation and in enabling people to optimise independence and quality of life.

We are looking for psychology graduates,support Workers and Healthcare Assistants  or suitable candidates  who would be willing to support people both within their home environment and also willing to provide support in helping service users access the community. We are looking for candidates that are confident with working independently and providing empirical feedback where necessary.

Support Worker – Brain Injury Rehabilitation

Location: Mansfield, NG18

Salary: £12.75 – £14.25 per hour (DOE)

Job Type: Self-Employed / Flexible (Full-time, Part-time, Ad-hoc)

4 hours per week, preferably on Saturdays, though there is some flexibility.

NSS PLUS LTD (NeuroSupport Services) is a specialist provider dedicated to helping individuals with acquired brain injuries (ABI) regain independence and improve their quality of life. We are currently seeking professional Support Workers and Healthcare Assistants to join our team in Leicestershire.

The Role

Our client a 63-year-old male, who has an acquired brain injury following a road traffic incident. It has also left him with mobility issues, due to his injuries. He is looking for support once a week for four hours. There is a possibility of evening events, so some 
flexibility may be required, but these would be booked weeks in advance.

Duties on shift would be taking the client to appointments. He attends a pain
clinic, and has a physiotherapist in place. Diary management and facilitating the need of food shopping. Going out with the client socially, and prompting exercise/short walks.

About you-Essential Experience:

Preferable support or therapy assistant, with experience of working with people who have ABI (Brain Injury), and mobility issues.
