Teaching Assistant - SEMH School
Location: NG13, Nottinghamshire
Pay: £90-£100 per day (PAYE)
Start Date: September 2025
Hours: 8:30am - 4:15pm, Monday to Friday | Term-Time Only
Commutable from: Bingham, Bottesford, Radcliffe-on-Trent, Lowdham, Cotgrave, Burton Joyce, Melton Mowbray and nearby areas.

Long Term Futures are working in collaboration with a specialist school in NG13. We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join the school in September. The school supports children aged 7-18 with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, using a mix of classroom learning, outdoor work and animal-assisted therapy.

Set in a quiet, rural location, this is a small and nurturing environment, ideal for someone who wants to focus on meaningful and personalised support for students.

The Role

• Support students 1:1 and in small groups
• Help manage behaviour and build trust with young people
• Assist with lessons, both in and out of the classroom
• Work closely with staff and therapists to support student progress
• Promote calm routines and emotional regulation throughout the day

Who We're Looking For

You might already have experience as a Teaching Assistant, or you may have worked in care, support, youth work or similar settings. What matters most is your ability to connect with young people and remain calm, consistent and supportive.
