Teaching Assistant

Job Description:

A welcoming and inclusive SEN school in Tamworth is looking for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team from November 2025. For the right candidate, this role could lead to a long-term or permanent position within the school.

Your Role

• Provide tailored one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with a range of SEN needs

• Assist in delivering engaging, accessible lessons in and outside the classroom

• Adapt learning resources to meet diverse learning styles and abilities

• Encourage independence, confidence, and active participation in learning

• Work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to deliver holistic support

About You

• Graduate or soon-to-be graduate (all subject areas considered)

• Experience working with children with SEN is desirable but not essential

• Empathetic, patient, and passionate about helping young people succeed

• A confident communicator and team player, eager to learn and develop

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is previous experience working in a school setting.
