
Teaching Assistant (Sports Background Desirable)
Location: Shepshed (LE12) - Commutable from Leicester & Loughborough
Pay: £90 - £103.90 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm (Term Time Only)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Ongoing, flexible cover opportunities with potential for longer-term placements

Long Term Futures are proud to be supporting one of our long-standing SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school partners in Shepshed (LE12). We're looking for dedicated and adaptable Teaching Assistants who can provide additional support when needed.
This role offers the chance to work with a fantastic team in a highly supportive, therapeutic environment - ideal for those from a sports or mentoring background who want to gain experience within specialist education, or for those seeking a more flexible route into a long-term role.

Supporting pupils aged 4-13 with social, emotional and behavioural needs
Assisting teachers within the classroom to maintain engagement and focus
Using movement, sport and physical activity to promote regulation and wellbeing
Building strong, trusting relationships with students to encourage progress
Working collaboratively with staff to uphold a nurturing, structured environment
Experience working with children or young people (e.g. coaching, youth work or mentoring)
A calm, patient and positive approach
Flexibility and a proactive mindset
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
Willingness to apply for (or already hold) an Enhanced DBS certificate
Work with a trusted and well-established SEMH school partner
