Temporary Financial Accountant

Job Description:

Location: Burton on Trent

Contract: Temporary, short term contract.

Start Date: ASAP. Immediate start.

Salary/Rate: £170 - £200 a day (inside IR35)

My client is seeking a Temporary Financial Accountant to cover sickness during a busy period. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who can quickly adapt and add value from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly financial and management accounts and financial reports
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies
• Liaise with auditors and internal stakeholders as required

Requirements:

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
• Proven experience in a financial accounting role
• Strong Excel and financial reporting skills
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
