We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Trade Counter Sales Assistant to join an established team within a trade counter environment. This role involves supporting both trade professionals and members of the public, delivering excellent service and contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the depot.

Key Responsibilities

• Serving customers at the trade counter and within the showroom
• Assisting with product selection, providing quotations, and answering enquiries
• Processing transactions and handling payments accurately
• Managing goods received and maintaining stock levels
• Ensuring the retail space is clean, well-organised, and presentable
• Supporting general depot operations and collaborating with colleagues
• Building rapport with trade customers to encourage repeat business
• Answering calls and providing information on products, pricing, and availability

Skills & Experience Required

• Strong customer service skills and a confident telephone manner
• Previous experience in a retail or trade counter environment
• Knowledge of plumbing and heating products preferred, but not essential
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling stock and transactions
• Positive, proactive attitude and a team-oriented mindset 

Working Hours

• Expected to work 46 hours per week working 5 days across 6, with 1 day off in the week
• Some flexibility may be required depending on depot needs
