Location: Leicester
Starting hourly rate: £12.62+ per hour (dependent on experience/qualifications)
Hours: Full-time (42.5 hours per week)
Contract Type: Permanent

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated individual with an interest in electrical maintenance to join our team as a Trainee Electrical Maintenance.

This is a great opportunity for someone who may not yet have full electrical experience but has some electrical knowledge, practical skills, or a relevant qualification and the right attitude to learn. You’ll be trained and supported by an experienced team while working on a wide range of machinery, equipment, and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with electrical maintenance, installation, and servicing of machinery and equipment
• Supporting fault-finding and diagnosing electrical issues
• Learning practical electrical maintenance skills on site
• Using hand tools and electrical testing equipment safely
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
• Following Health & Safety procedures at all times

Equipment & Machinery You’ll Work With

• Conveyor systems, presses, mixers, and plant machinery
• Motors, drives, and control panels
• Pumps, compressors, and HVAC systems
• Overhead cranes and hoists
• Power distribution boards, site wiring, and lighting systems
• Hand tools, multimeters, insulation testers, and basic power tools

Skills & Experience Required

• Some electrical maintenance or installation experience or relevant electrical qualification (even at a basic level)
• Willingness to learn and develop as a maintenance electrician
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Reliable and able to work as part of a team
• Commitment to safe working practices
