Trainee Purchasing Administrator

Reporting To | EP Purchasing Manager

Location | The role will be based at our manufacturing Site in Leicester.

Hours | Day Shift: 08.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday with a Daily 1-hour lunch break, contracted to 37.5 hours per week

The Trainee Purchasing Administrator Role

The successful applicant will work alongside the purchasing team, ensuring that all purchase orders are processed, accurately and effectively. Building close working relationships both internally and externally, with the internal warehouse, accounts and production teams whilst maintaining and building external relations with suppliers.

Trainee Purchasing Administrator Experience & Requirements 

Main duties include:

· Processing of purchase orders through internal purchase requisitions and ERP system

· Daily ordering with suppliers, document tracking and updating of purchase orders

· Raising purchase requisitions

· Build close relationships with internal and external stakeholders

· General administrative duties

· To act professionally in accordance with the company policies and procedures

Trainee Purchasing Administrator Desired Skills and Qualifications:

· Excellent attention to detail and data driven

· Effective communication skills

· Polite, friendly and approachable with an excellent telephone manner

· Organised, accurate and methodical

· Computer literate and ideally with ERP system knowledge

· Desire to develop in the role and undertake training courses
