Job Description:

Genesis are currently recruiting for a Transport/Traffic Administrator for our client based in the Walsgrave area of Coventry.

Shift Monday to Thursday 4pm-2am

Responsibilities:·

- Book in & out 3rd party hauliers, collect data and maintain trailer security & temperatures

- Liaise with Loading operatives for allocation of Goods in & Goods out loading bays.·

- Co-ordinate yard movements and maintain all site safety and security controls for drivers and vehicles on site

- Brief and debrief company drivers, with continuous monitoring of drivers working time and data input

- In accordance with customer delivery requirements, schedule and monitor the vehicle delivery schedule

- Work alongside the Team Leader to ensure that costs are managed in accordance with KPIs

- Maintain systems, controls and regular checks on owned HGV vehicle compliance systems to ensure legality, safety and efficiency

- Deputise for the Traffic Manager where appropriate or delegated.


Some of the duties the Transport Administrator will be responsible for are:

Date input to Excel spreadsheets and internal systems

Driver eligibility, tachograph analysis and legality records.

Daily/Weekly Internal Audits

Vehicle defect report, filling and actions.

Vehicle inspection, service and test records.

Must be an excellent communicator both written & verbally·

Excellent IT skills - Microsoft Packages e.g. Excel, Word, Office·

Transport industry knowledge is prefered but not required
