What You'll Do:
As their UK VAT Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance and providing invaluable VAT advice. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the preparation and submission of UK VAT returns.
• Offering expert VAT guidance on business transactions, contracts, and new projects.
• Managing VAT audits and liaising effectively with HMRC.
• Monitoring VAT legislation changes and assessing their impact on our operations.
• Supporting the implementation of VAT controls and driving process improvements.
• Collaborating with finance, legal, and commercial teams to enhance VAT compliance and efficiency.
• Working with the wider European VAT team to support pan-European VAT compliance and advisory matters.

About You:
They are looking for someone with:

• Proven experience in UK VAT, ideally within a large corporate or advisory environment.
• A strong grasp of VAT legislation, compliance, and reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and VAT reporting tools.
• The ability to interpret complex data and legislation with ease.
• Confidence in presenting VAT advice to senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Experience in managing VAT-related projects and implementing process improvements.
