Job Description:

Validation Engineer – MHEV / Hybrid Powertrain

We are recruiting a Validation Engineer to support MHEV and hybrid powertrain systems across system validation, fault diagnosis and vehicle testing activities. This is a hands-on engineering role suited to candidates with strong experience in ICE and mild hybrid propulsion systems.

Key responsibilities:

• System-level validation and verification of ICE and MHEV powertrain systems
• Fault diagnosis and issue resolution at vehicle and system level
• Supporting vehicle build, PIL and test activities
• Creation of DVPs, test cases, procedures and requirements
• Use of diagnostic and data analysis tools including INCA, CANalyzer, Corvus, MATLAB, PicoScope and MDA
• Working in rig, lab and vehicle test environments
• Applying systems engineering and structured problem-solving approaches

Essential experience:

• Validation or testing experience within automotive powertrain, propulsion or hybrid systems
• Knowledge of ICE, MHEV or hybrid vehicle systems
• Hands-on use of INCA and/or CANalyzer
• Experience with vehicle testing, system validation or powertrain integration
• Strong fault-finding and technical problem-solving skills

Desirable:

• Experience with Agile or Scrum, JIRA
• Electrical engineering or battery system awareness
• Six Sigma or structured problem-solving methods
