Vehicle Passenger Assistants

Job Description:

Our public sector client are looking for Vehicle Passenger Assistants to join them on a long-term, on-going temporary basis. 

Location: Melton Mowbray, Nailstone, Blaby, Sapcote, Croft and Blaby
Hours: 4hrs AM & 4hrs PM (ADHOC, flexible schedule)
Pay: £12.27 per hour
DBS: Enhanced DBS required (reimbursed after 6 weeks)

We’re hiring Vehicle Passenger Assistants to support vulnerable service users on their journeys across Leicestershire. This is meaningful, long-term work helping people get where they need to go safely and with dignity.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities:

• Assist passengers on/off the vehicle and safely secure them, including wheelchair users
• Support with fitting/removing specialist seating as needed
• Ensure passenger safety, comfort, and personal belongings are protected
• Communicate clearly and professionally with passengers and staff
• Report incidents or issues promptly and accurately
• Support depot staff with loading/unloading goods when required
