Waking Night Children’s Residential Support Worker – Coalville (LE67)

Salary: £23,132.20 – £24,206.00 (average 35 hours per week)

Ofsted: Rated Good

We are currently working on behalf of a valued client who is expanding their children’s residential home from 3 beds to 4 beds. As part of this growth, they are looking to appoint a caring, resilient and motivated Waking Night Support Worker to support children and young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is compassionate, calm under pressure and genuinely passionate about making a difference in young people’s lives.

The Role

As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, wellbeing and emotional stability of the young people throughout the night.

Care & Support

Providing consistent, nurturing care in line with the Children’s Act 1989 and Children’s Homes Regulations 2015

Offering emotional and practical support during challenging or distressing moments

Monitoring young people to ensure their safety, wellbeing and emotional needs are met

Supporting daily living routines, cleaning tasks and maintaining high household standards

Promoting independence, positive behaviour and personal development

Shift Pattern

-10pm – 8am

-Week 1: 4 shifts

-Week 2: 3 shifts

-Repeats on a 2-week rota

Overtime is available, including day shifts and sleep-ins, when required.

Pay

-Sleep-in rate: £71.20 per sleep

-Overtime: £12.71 – £13.30 per hour

Training & Development
