Job Description:
Overview
The Logistics Pick Admin Controller plays a key role in ensuring the smooth, accurate, and efficient flow of goods through the warehouse. This role bridges operational picking activities with administrative accuracy, supporting warehouse teams, monitoring pick performance, and maintaining high standards of stock integrity and order fulfilment.
Key Responsibilities
Pick Administration
- Monitor daily pick lists, ensuring all orders are released, allocated, and processed correctly.
- Produce labels and order confirmations using Amazon Portal
- Access 3rd party portals to confirm bookings for orders confirmed as ready
- Validate pick accuracy by checking quantities, product codes, and order details.
- Investigate and resolve pick discrepancies, shortages, and mis-picks.
- Maintain accurate records of pick completions, adjustments, and exceptions.
Warehouse Coordination
- Liaise with team leaders and pickers to ensure workload is balanced and deadlines are met.
- Support the warehouse floor by providing updated pick sheets, labels, and documentation.
- Track progress of picking waves and escalate delays or operational issues.
- Ensure all daily orders are placed correctly for carrier collection
- Ensure all daily orders are shipped in full
- Support QC programme
- Coordinate with 3rd party transport to amend requirements for influx’s
- Track weekly drop in rates to outline profile shifts
Stock & System Control
- Update WMS/ERP systems with pick confirmations, amendments, and stock movements.
- Run daily reports to identify variances, stock issues, or system errors.
- Assist with cycle counts, stock investigations, and root-cause analysis.
Customer & Internal Support
- Communicate with customer service teams regarding order status, delays, or stock issues.
- Support inbound, outbound, and inventory teams with administrative tasks when required.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Analytical mindset with problem‑solving ability.
- Understanding of warehouse operations, picking processes, and stock control.
Experience & Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or supply chain environment.
- Experience with WMS/ERP system is an advantage.
- Strong administrative background.
- GCSEs or equivalent; further logistics qualifications beneficial.
