Warehouse Operative

Job Description:

Job Title: Warehouse Operative 
Reports To: Warehouse Manager
Location: Coalville - On Site Role 
Contract: Temp-to-Perm
Pay: £13.00 an Hour

The successful candidate will work as part of a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment, supporting daily operations and meeting customer service levels.

• Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch accurately and efficiently

• Loading and unloading vehicles safely

• Operating warehouse equipment (e.g. pallet trucks, scanners)

• Checking goods in and out against paperwork or handheld systems

• Ensuring stock is stored correctly and securely

• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment

• Adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures

• Meeting productivity and quality targets

• Reporting damages, discrepancies, or safety concerns to supervisors

• Supporting other warehouse duties as required

• Previous warehouse experience (essential)

• Good attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Good time management and organisational skills

• Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling tasks

• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends if required

• Basic level of numeracy and literacy

• Strong awareness of health and safety
