Fabricator / Welder – Corby – night shift
Location: Corby
Position: Full-time
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Shift: 4 on 4 off, nights 18:00 - 06:30
About the Role:
Excel Industrial is seeking a skilled Fabricator / Welder to join the team. This role involves ongoing repairs and modifications to the fleet, along with occasional larger fabrication projects. As a Fabricator / Welder, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the fleet remains in top condition through expert welding, fabricating, and repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate steel components and weld steel and aluminium of varying thicknesses and quality.
- Perform repairs including grinding, welding, and cutting.
- Adhere to company Health and Safety standards and maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Accurately complete all job cards, service reports, and inspection sheets.
- Follow parts order procedures, handle warranty claims, and manage exchange items.
- Meet customer requirements by delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Treat all customer and company vehicles, property, and workshop tools with care and attention at all times.
Person Specification:
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Previous experience in repairing/fabricating truck bodies and trailers.
- Qualified and time-served as a welder fabricator.
- Essential: MIG Welding experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Full UK Driving licence.
