Salary: £13.50 to £15.00 per hour depending on experience
Hours: Mon - Thu 07:00am-16:00pm / Fri 07:00am to 13:00pm

About the Company:
Our client is a well-established and highly respected precision sheet metal fabrication and engineering company, based in Leicester. They provide a full end-to-end service including design, CNC cutting, folding, welding, finishing, and full assembly. We supply into a wide range of sectors including retail POS/POP, architectural metalwork, medical, EV infrastructure, enclosures, kiosks, and OEM manufacturing.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our skilled production team.
About The Role:
As a Welder / Fabricator, you will be responsible for producing high-quality fabricated and welded components to customer specifications. This is a hands-on role requiring strong welding skills, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and experience working in a fast-paced fabrication environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- MIG and TIG welding of sheet metal and fabricated components (mild steel and stainless steel)
- Fabrication and assembly of bespoke parts and frameworks
- Working from engineering drawings and specifications
- Performing grinding, dressing, and finishing of welded joints to a high standard
- Ensuring parts meet quality standards and tolerances
- Operating basic workshop equipment such as grinders, drills, saws, and hand tools
- Working alongside CNC laser, punch, and press brake departments to complete builds
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area
- Following company health & safety procedures and ISO9001 quality standards
About You:
- Proven experience as a Welder / Fabricator in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Strong MIG welding ability (TIG welding experience beneficial but not essential)
- Experience working with mild steel, stainless steel, and sheet metal
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings confidently
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good timekeeping and reliability
