Pay Rate: Up to £16 per hour - £34,528 (depending on experience)

Job Type: Permanent

Shift Times: Monday to Thursday, 08:00 – 17:00 ; Friday, 08:-00 - 16:00

Engineering @ 365 is recruiting on behalf of our client based in Leicester city centre who specialise predominantly in structural and architectural metalwork. We are looking for MIG Welders experienced welding over 8mm mild steel to join their team on a permanent basis. 

Job Description:

As a Welder you will play a crucial role in the production and assembly of structural and architectural metalwork. Your responsibilities will predominately include MIG welding mild steel to meet the high standards required by our client.

Key Responsibilities:

• MIG Welding, Predominately steel 8mm upwards.
• Working with Mild steel
• Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to accurately execute welding and fabrication projects.
• Conduct inspections of welded and fabricated components to identify and rectify any defects or inconsistencies.
• Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
• Maintain welding equipment and fabrication tools in good working condition, reporting any issues promptly for maintenance or repair.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in welding, preferably in a structural or architectural metalwork environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Previous experience working as a welder or a fabricator.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with excellent communication skills.
• Flexibility to work overtime as required.
