We are now seeking a dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join our team in September 2025.

Role Overview:
As a Year 1 Teacher, you will support pupils as they transition from the Early Years Foundation Stage into Key Stage 1. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons that build on their early learning and lay strong foundations for future academic success. This role is ideal for a skilled and enthusiastic teacher who understands the unique needs of young learners and can foster a love of learning from the outset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver creative and effective lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum

• Support children’s transition from EYFS by building on their early learning experiences

• Track and assess pupil progress, using this to inform planning and intervention

• Create a nurturing, structured classroom environment that supports emotional and academic development

• Work closely with colleagues, including teaching assistants, to meet the needs of all learners

• Build strong, positive relationships with parents and carers

• Contribute to school life through events, enrichment activities, and collaborative planning

We are looking for:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, preferably Year 1

• A strong understanding of the EYFS–KS1 transition and early childhood development

• An engaging and adaptable teaching style that supports all learning needs

• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues

• Please note: this role is not suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs)
