Astute Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join an established and well-respected finance team based in Lenton, Nottingham. This is a permanent, full-time, and fully onsite position offering up to £30,000 per annum.

The Role:

As an Accounts Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting both sides of the ledger - accounts payable and receivable – as well as assisting the Accountant with daily finance operations and month-end tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• End-to-end processing of purchase and sales invoices
• Supplier and customer account reconciliations
• Handling queries from suppliers and customers
• Preparing payment runs and chasing outstanding debts
• Supporting with accruals, prepayments, and journal entries
• Assisting with month-end reporting and analysis
• Maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers

Requirements:

• Proven full-cycle experience in both purchase and sales ledgers
• Comfortable supporting wider accounting functions
• Strong Excel skills and good working knowledge of finance systems
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage priorities
• Must have the right to work in the UK - no sponsorship available
