ABOUT:
The Company:
Our Leicester based POS clients are looking for an experienced accounts person to join them in a part time office based role.
The successful candidate will need to have strong experience within a small accounts team, taking ownership of day to day tasks such as sales/purchase ledger, bank reconciliation but also providing information in full support of an external accountant.
Key areas of responsibility:
- Use of SAGE accounting
- Purchase/sales Ledger
- Credit control | Credit applications
- Setting up of new accounts/suppliers
- Preparation of documents and figures for month end, year end and VAT returns
- Invoicing
- Payment of suppliers
- Expenses | Credit card reconciliation
- Bank reconciliation | Cashflow
- Some general administration
Key Skills:
- Previous use of SAGE – essential
- Previous experience working within an Accounts role – essential
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Able to communicate well with colleagues, clients and suppliers and external accountants
- Extremely organised
- Able to follow instructions, work independently and mentor a junior assistant as required
- Experience of working in a similar manufacturing business
- Enthusiastic and a willingness to support across the business
