Applications Engineer

Job Description:

Applications Engineer – Power Electronics, £40K - £60K, Leicestershire (Hybrid)

• £40,000 to £60,000 salary guide (depending on experience) + company benefits + hybrid working
• Typically, 3 days onsite, 2 days remote + occasional international travel (~10%)
• Global semiconductor company specialising in analogue power management / power electronics solutions

Your background as an Applications Engineer:

• Degree in Electronic Engineering or similar
• Experience or exposure to analogue / power electronics (e.g. DC/DC converters, LDOs, power supplies)
• Able to interpret schematics, datasheets, and reference designs
• Strong communication skills – able to explain technical concepts clearly
• Interest in a customer-facing role combining engineering and commercial awareness

Applications Engineer responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and guidance on analogue / power electronics products (DC/DC, LDOs)
• Support customers with design optimisation, troubleshooting, and application queries
• Work closely with internal sales and global engineering teams
• Deliver technical presentations, product demos, and training sessions
• Contribute to application notes and technical documentation
• Support wider business activities with technical insight and customer feedback

This role Applications Engineer role commutable from Loughborough, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Coalville, Hinckley, Burton upon Trent, Tamworth, Leicester and surrounding areas.
