
Registered Children’s Home Manager – Brand New EBD Service
Location: Derby
Salary: £60,000 per annum
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
We’re supporting an established care provider who is expanding into children’s residential services and is now seeking a Registered Children’s Home Manager to lead their first children’s home in Derby.
This is a brand-new 2-bed EBD home, with the property secured, planning approved, and an external consultancy already in place to support the registration and setup process. The provider brings strong operational experience from adult care and is committed to building a high-quality, compliant children’s service from day one.

The Role
As Registered Manager, you will:
Lead the Ofsted registration process and prepare the home for opening
Develop and embed policies, procedures, and quality standards
Recruit, train, and lead your own staff team
Ensure full compliance with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015
Embed safeguarding and trauma-informed practice throughout the service
Build strong relationships with external professionals and commissioners
Create a safe, nurturing environment where young people with EBD can thrive
The Ideal Candidate
We’re keen to speak with candidates who have:
Previous experience as a Registered Manager within children’s residential care
Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and registration processes
Experience supporting children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
The confidence and drive to lead a service from the ground up
