CNC Programmer / Setter (Fanuc) – Milling (3/4 Axis) or Multi-Axis Turning

Burton-on-Trent | Permanent | Days | Up to £24.61 p/h

I’m recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering manufacturer in Burton-on-Trent, supplying high-integrity components into Oil & Gas, Rail, Aerospace and Defence.

They’re looking for an experienced CNC Programmer/Setter to strengthen either the milling or turning side of the business:

• 3 & 4 Axis Milling (Fanuc) or

• Multi-Axis CNC Lathes (Fanuc)

The Role

You’ll be programming, setting and supporting production of complex, tight-tolerance components in a quality-led environment.

Responsibilities:

• CNC programming and setting (Fanuc controls) – milling or turning focus

• Proving out programs, fault-finding and process improvement

• Working from engineering drawings, tolerances and specs

• Using measuring equipment to ensure parts meet quality standards

• Supporting continuous improvement and safe working practices

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a CNC Programmer/Setter in precision engineering

• Strong Fanuc control knowledge

• Experience in either:

  • 3/4 Axis milling, or

  • Multi-axis turning

• Confident reading drawings and working to tight tolerances

• Background in regulated sectors (Aero/Defence) is beneficial, but not essential

Hours (Days)

• Mon–Thu: 07:30 – 16:30

• Fri: 07:30 – 12:30 (half day)
