CNC Setter / Operator

Job Description:

Siamo Recruitment are looking for an Experienced CNC Miller – Programmer/Setter/Operator to join a well Established Engineering Company based in Coventry.

We are  looking for someone to lead our Milling Team in the heart of Coventry
 
If you are an expert in 3, 4, and 5-axis milling and you’re ready to step up, mentor a team of 4 talented millers, and help drive the growth of a small, fast-paced precision shop—we want to talk to you.

The Setup:
The shop floor is built around high-spec Hurco WinMax technology.

We need someone who knows these machines inside out and can lead the charge on complex, high-precision projects.
What’s on the table?

• Excellent Rates of Pay – £16.00 Phr
• Hours of Work 7.45am - 16.45 (Mon - Thurs ) Fri Finish at 13.00  
• Optional Overtime – Extra hours are there if you want them.
• 33 Days Holiday 
• The Kit – Work across 3, 4, and 5-axis Hurco machines.

 The purpose of this role is to program, set and operate CNC milling machines:
The general day to day tasks are as follow:

• Interpret technical drawings and CAD data to accurately and efficiently create programs to manufacture parts 
• Create code that instructs the machine on how to cut the material into the desired shape in the most efficient manner 
• Choose the appropriate cutting tools and fixtures for the job, Set up the machine, to include accurate calibration and alignment to ensure it's ready to operate 
• To complete operations within the timescales on the route cards and report any issues to your the Quality/Shopfloor Manager and/or the Managing Director
• Run the machine, monitor the machine's performance and make adjustments as needed 
• Troubleshoot, identify and fix any problems with the machine or the production process 
• Inspect the finished part to ensure it meets specifications and complete the appropriate inspection report as dictated by each customers individual
• Maintain the machine, perform routine maintenance to keep the machine running well 

Any other tasks that may be required from time to time to support the needs of the business in an administrative capacity
