Cover Supervisor

Job Description:

We are recruiting enthusiastic and motivated Cover Supervisors and Sports Coaches to work across a range of secondary schools in Coventry, Coventry and throughout Warwickshire, Warwickshire.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to gain long-term experience in schools, with clear pathways into teacher training or a permanent career in education. Whether your background is in sport, coaching, youth work or education, this role offers valuable classroom and behaviour management experience.

The Role Will Include:

• Supervising whole classes during teacher absence

• Delivering pre-set lesson materials across a range of subjects

• Leading PE lessons and sports sessions (where applicable)

• Managing classroom behaviour effectively

• Engaging and motivating students in learning

• Supporting schools on a daily, short-term or long-term basis

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 months’ experience teaching, coaching or leading groups of 20+ young people

• Confident managing behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• Adaptable, reliable and professional approach

• A degree is desirable (particularly for those considering teacher training)
