Job Description:

Our client, a rapidly growing consultancy in the water sector, is currently seeking a Design Manager to join their team for a contract position working on Severn Trent Water non-infrastructure projects in Tamworth. This opportunity involves managing a team of engineers and contributing to a wide range of projects across AMP8.

• Leading and managing design teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions
• Coordinating with project stakeholders to ensure specifications and requirements are met
• Developing and reviewing design plans, drawings, and specifications
• Ensuring projects are delivered within scope, budget, and time constraints
• Providing technical guidance and support to team members
• Maintaining compliance with relevant standards and regulations
• Preparing technical reports and documentation
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive project success

• Experience in civil engineering design within the water industry
• Strong understanding of mechanical and civil engineering principles
• Proficiency in design software and tools
• Excellent project management and organisational skills
• Ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
• Relevant engineering qualification
